Canada's elections have always been (at least as far back as I can remember) a shining example to the world of an honest, impartial, completely neutral system. I'm very proud of that. I hate to come to her defense, but why is she getting slagged for being a beauty queen 20 years ago? It wouldn't be dignified if she did something like that today, but that when she was a kid. It's no worse than having had 80's hair or a disco outfit or something.

From what I'm hearing, it was rejected by both liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans. I guess neither group could get past its inherent distrust of Wall street bankers.
